Seresto Reviews and Consumer Product Report
Seresto is a flea and tick collar. In a sort of “throw back” treatment style, Seresto claims to have super charged the old flea collar and made it more effective. More effective enough to win an award and even last, according to Seresto, up to 8 months. IF that is the case, AND it works, this flea and tick collar may be the among best values in the marketplace. We decided to take a closer look at the Ifs and Ands to see how this product stacks up.
Obviously, we place a great deal of value on consumer experience and reviews, provided that they are objective and accurate. The fact that Seresto claims to have won consumer driven awards, that is a decent start and should put it on your list of products to consider.
I know what you are thinking, isn’t this the way our parents treated our pets for fleas and ticks. And it is certainly hard to argue with the logic, but if this product really does work and if it can last that long, it is a convenient and simple way to remedy the problem.
Price and Buying
This product is sold at a number of large pet supply dealers. Typical price is 45-50$ for the collar, that again is supposed to last in upwards of 8 months. It is a little on the higher side of the market, but certainly in the competitive range of other brands.
Information Reported Online
Despite the Awards, there is a large amount of negative testimonials and reviews online of this product. If you read our posts, you know that we believe you have to “read between the lines” of these reviews. Yes, many are legitimate complaints and they should caution you from rushing into any purchases. However, there are also some non legitimate complaints which are really customer service / store policy related complaints. These do not apply towards the quality of the product.
The point is, yes, there is some negative concerns, but not nearly as bad as some consumers would have you think.
In a Nut Shell
Overall, we believe that this is a solid product that is made of good quality. It is not as amazing as the manufacturer would have you believe, but the product does work fairly well and should at least be considered as an alternative.
In our opinion, it does not work as quickly or effectively as many of the liquids applied more regularly to your household pet, but it does provide your pet some defense against fleas and ticks.
